Ihr Profil

  • A completed vocational training in business or tourism, a degree, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in commercial administration; experience in a back-office environment is an asset
  • Experience in the tourism industry, particularly in handling group or series travel, is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel; knowledge of LibreOffice Calc is an asset
  • Proficient in handling extensive tables, data lists, complex formulas, and evaluation logic
  • Strong affinity for numbers and a good understanding of large datasets, correlations, and plausibility checks
  • Experience with data-driven processes, imports, or system-supported data maintenance is an asset
  • Experience in optimization projects or in the further development of processes and workflows is preferred
  • Affinity for digital tools and interest in the practical application and further development of AI-powered workflows
  • Highly diligent, accurate, and structured approach to work
  • A high sense of quality and responsibility, particularly with time-critical and deadline-driven tasks
  • Ability to systematically identify, analyze, and resolve sources of error within your own area of responsibility

Über SR Travel

SR Travel is an internationally active B2B tour operator based in Giessen. We design and organize large and small-scale events, MICE projects, and tailor-made group travel. In doing so, we collaborate with an international network of hotels, DMCs, transport companies, and other tourism service providers.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a diligent Operations Specialist with a strong affinity for numbers to support the operational preparation and execution of our group and series travel, reliably maintain travel-related data, and contribute to the ongoing development of our processes and systems.

Ihre Rolle

As an Operations Specialist for Group and Series Travel, you will play a central role in the back-office preparation, execution, and post-event evaluation of our trips. You will set up the necessary operational foundations for each respective season, maintain data and allotments, and create the required travel documents.

With your structured and reliable approach to work, you will ensure that data, lists, and documents are available fully, accurately, and on schedule. In addition, you will analyze sources of error, assist with operational clarifications, and contribute to the optimization of our processes, tools, and workflows.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Operational travel execution and seasonal preparation: You will handle the back-office operational preparation, execution, and post-event evaluation of group and series travel. Prior to the start of the season, you will establish the necessary structures and data foundations for smooth travel execution.
  • Tour and system maintenance: You will set up individual tours in our company-specific systems and update the relevant travel-related data throughout the ongoing season.
  • Allotment and service maintenance: You will check and maintain allotments, handle hotel allocations, and set up hotels, ancillary service providers, and other tourism service partners in the utilized systems.
  • Booking and participant data: You will transfer and maintain booking numbers, guest and participant counts, and other information required for travel execution. In doing so, you will check the data for completeness and plausibility.
  • Travel documents and document management: You will create, check, and send participant lists, vouchers, and other travel documents on schedule. In doing so, you will ensure complete and accurate documentation throughout the entire itinerary.
  • Lists and data evaluations: You will create and maintain operational worklists in MS Excel or LibreOffice Calc. You will carefully check extensive tables, datasets, formulas, and evaluation logic for functionality and accuracy.
  • Daily operational business: You will process short-notice changes and reliably transfer them into the relevant systems, lists, and travel documents. You will follow up on open operational issues and coordinate the necessary measures with the relevant parties.
  • Clarifications and complaints: You will assist in handling operational clarifications and complaint cases. To this end, you will research and analyze facts, identify potential sources of error, and contribute to appropriate solutions.
  • Process and tool optimization: You will review existing workflows, data structures, and utilized tools, and identify areas for improvement. You will adjust and further develop existing formulas and evaluation logic in Excel or LibreOffice Calc as needed.
  • Import and data transfer processes: You will support the application, testing, and further development of importers. Where necessary, you will contribute to optimizing existing import and data transfer processes or developing new ones.
  • Digital and AI-powered workflows: You will bring in your interest in digital solutions and support – where useful for the field of activity – the application and further development of AI-powered processes and systems.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You will work closely with adjacent departments and business units. You will support the involved teams with operational, system-related, and process-oriented queries, and contribute to cross-departmental projects.
